In-house Marketing Departments and Outside Agencies

Who makes the initial call to an ad agency or marketing consultant? Is it the CEO who is frustrated with the brand his company has developed? Is it the IT administrator who says, “No, I don’t design websites”? Is it the volunteer coordinator who knows she isn’t equipped to handle a true marketing campaign? The answer is: sometimes. But surprisingly, more often than not, it is the professionally trained marketing director or corporate communications manager that stands up and says, “We can’t do this alone.”
